Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Muslim Library ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use the Muslim Library mobile application for iOS (the "App") and this website. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — such as your name and email address when you create an account or sign in (for example, with Sign in with Apple or email).
• Support messages — the content of emails you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — books you open, reading and listening progress, streaks, favorites and in-app interactions, used to sync your library and personalize recommendations.
• Device and diagnostic data — device model, iOS version, app version, crash logs and performance data.
• Identifiers — an app-specific user ID and, if you allow notifications, a push notification token.

Purchase information

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive information about your subscription status (such as product, purchase date, renewal and expiry) so we can unlock premium content.

2. Third-party services we use

• Google Firebase (Google LLC) — for authentication, cloud database and storage, analytics, crash reporting (Crashlytics) and push notifications (Cloud Messaging). See Firebase Privacy.
• RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) — to manage in-app subscriptions, validate App Store receipts and track entitlement status. See RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Apple — for App Store payments and Sign in with Apple. See Apple Privacy Policy.

These providers process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and data processing terms.

3. How we use information

• To provide the App, sync your library and progress across devices.
• To manage subscriptions and give you access to premium content.
• To personalize recommendations and your daily book pick.
• To send notifications you have opted into, such as reading reminders.
• To fix bugs, monitor performance and improve the App.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate important updates.
• To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

4. What we don't do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep it for legal, tax or fraud-prevention reasons.

6. Your rights and choices

• Access, correction and deletion — you can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account from within the App or by emailing us.
• Notifications — you can turn push notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
• Analytics — you can limit tracking through your device's privacy settings.

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have additional rights. To exercise any of them, contact privacy@muslimlib.com.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated in the App.
